This listing is for ONE "frag" of a "Bam Bam" zoa coral on a frag disc or plug. Each disc will come with 2-4 or more polyps. We aquaculture this strain of zoas ourselves, and the size plugs vary but are all less than 1". Zoa corals can change size, shape, and texture depending on lighting, food, and water. Higher-quality lights and more frequent feeding produce larger corals with better color. Zoa corals are a beginner-friendly soft coral. Zoa corals only grow in saltwater aquariums - not freshwater. They can adjust to a wide range of lighting, filtration, and feeding, but they prefer consistency. Routine water changes, a good coral light, and testing your water regularly for pH and nitrate is sufficient to help this coral thrive! Because this is a live animal, colors, shapes, and sizes may change (especially due to stress from shipping). Acclimation: Simply float the coral for 30-60 minutes until the water in the cups are the same temperature as the water in your aquarium. Ensure your water quality is good by testing your salinity, temperature, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, calcium, and KH. Fix any problems while the coral is floating. You can then quickly remove the coral from the cup and place it near the bottom of your aquarium, in a safe location where it will not be knocked over by the current or other animals. Discard the water from shipping. Every week, you can slowly move the coral closer to the lights until you are happy with where the coral is. Bright light quickly after shipping can stress corals.
