Fighters of the Pacific is a quick and simple tactical war game about the air battles of World War II in the Pacific. This expansion provides a series of scenarios that replicates the key stages of a major battle of World War II in the Pacific. Inside you will find all the necessary tokens, including the aircraft carriers involved. Battle of the Coral Sea May 1942, the Japanese advance is at its peak. The Imperial Fleet launched the invasion of Tulagi Island and Port Moresby in order to consolidate its defensive positions in the South Pacific. The invasion fleet is covered by a light aircraft carrier, the Shoho, and the two carriers Shokaku and Zuikaku form an independent strike force to engage the approaching enemy aircraft carriers. This is the first naval air battle in history, as all attacks were carried out by airplanes and no cannons were fired directly from one ship to another. It's up to you to recreate this battle with the 5 scenarios included. Choose your side and place the chips on the map. The story is now in your hands. Battle of Midway June 1942, Admiral Yamamoto, commander in chief of the Japanese Navy, is confident and wants to deal a decisive blow to the U.S. fleet in the Pacific. The Battle of Midway was a decisive American victory and marks the turning point of the war in the Pacific. It's up to you to recreate this battle with the 5 scenarios included. Choose your side and place the pawns on the map. The story is now in your hands. This is an expansion for Fighters of the Pacific. The base game is required to play. Scenarios can be played in a row or separately. It is recommended to play them twice when changing sides so that you can compare scores. Counting 2 hours per scenario, this represents 40 hours of play in full historical immersion.
